NOBODY AGREES ABOUT SPARK MINT.

KNOWN AS · Spark Mint

“SHINY MENACE.”

Spark Mint wanted to be taken seriously by people he can't afford to buy. He got the Narrows instead.

Mad LAD #3633
THE ONE THEY'RE ALL TALKING ABOUT

THE ACCOUNTS

The Lab asked around the Narrows about Spark Mint. Everyone had a version.

HE SINGS WHEN HE WINS.

HE WINS A LOT. NOBODY ENJOYS IT.

“He tips in gold.”

“Then he asks if I've eaten.”

— ACCOUNT #01 · a doorman on the Gilded Mile

ACCOUNT #02 · a landlady who asked not to be named

“Ask anyone: buying buildings to settle bets. That's Spark Mint. Anything more, you'd have to ask him.”

ACCOUNT #03 · a nurse at the Undercroft infirmary

“I was there. It went like this.” He once won an argument with a traffic warden in the Narrows and celebrated, on the spot, with the same sea shanty. The warden let him finish before writing the ticket.

THE LAB'S VERSION

He inherited nothing, borrowed everything, and paid it back in a single, legendary afternoon. People say he could light a street on a bad night. He has, more than once. He still keeps an office at the top of the tallest building on the Gilded Mile. The lift only goes there if he likes you.

ONE WITNESS CHANGED THEIR STORY.
