SOMEONE LEFT A LIGHT BURNING IN THE NARROWS.
KNOWN AS · Badge Mayhem
“BRIGHT. DANGEROUS.”
Badge Mayhem mistakes momentum for direction. The Narrows has the stories to prove it.

THE ACCOUNTS
The Lab asked around the Narrows about Badge Mayhem. Everyone had a version.
EVIDENCE
“We have a whole drawer for him.”
“Nobody's ever been hurt. That's the weird part.”
ACCOUNT #02 · a schoolteacher in the Narrows
“What is he known for? Accidents that somehow fix more than they break. And he straightens the long red coat before he says anything he does not mean. Anything more, you'd have to ask him.”
ACCOUNT #03 · a street sweeper who sees everything
“Don't believe a word of that.” The first anyone in the Narrows saw of the long red coat, he was asking a stranger on the tram whether it looked like it belonged to him. The stranger said yes. He said that was the problem.
THE LAB'S VERSION
He was supposed to be a quiet kid. Records suggest this lasted about a week. Street lamps flicker when he walks under them, as if checking whether they are still needed. He says he has calmed down. A small fire somewhere in the Narrows disagrees.
HE WILL TELL YOU WHERE IT IS GOING.
ASK HIM WHERE THE LONG RED COAT CAME FROM.
ONE WITNESS CHANGED THEIR STORY.
WHAT THE COAT IS BEING RETURNED FOR.

PULL THE SEAL ALONG THE TAPE — OR BREAK IT.
PERSONAL ACCESS · CHANGES NOTHING IN THE ARCHIVE
“He came back for it.”
“He never went near the place again.”
